A Devoted Dog Walker

Hi, I'm Vicky and I am a professional dog walker, with many years experience in dog care and an accredited qualification in dog behaviour. I have also completed two practical dog training courses with the IMDT. I established my professional dog walking service in 2007. I'm passionate about dogs, I adore my job and the joy of seeing the dogs I walk thoroughly enjoy their walks never gets old. I have two dogs of my own, 16 and 11 year old Jack Russells, the 11 year old is a fairly recent addition to my household having come from a client who could no longer look after him.

I believe long term experience as a full-time professional dog walker and a clear commitment to ethical care and safety standards to be absolutely essential when choosing the right person to be the carer of your beloved dog.

Certifications

I have a Level lll accredited qualification in dog behaviour

"Learning, Motivation and Reinforcement"

through the IMDT (The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) and have also passed the IMDT two day training course in dog training and the IMDT 4 days practical instructor course.

Ethics

I am fully committed to treating dogs with kindness, respect and understanding; gaining their co-operation through positive training methods with absolutely no forceful or aversive treatment and giving them a sense of well being by providing them with an outlet for their innate drives.

We know that all the joy our dogs bring us makes the pain when they pass worth bearing. Panda and Tilly were the loveliest of dogs, from very happy backgrounds. Two completely different personalities, but each full of life and character, both of whom I had the enormous pleasure of walking daily together from a very young age until the end of their lives. I miss them and they took a little piece of my heart with them when they went.
